| Description and Specific Information |
| Relatively new fish to the hobby. Rather shy. Can be distinguished from all other Danio species by the combination of 5-7 dark, spotted or continuous horizontal stripes on the side of the body, incomplete lateral line, and two pairs of long barbels. |
